Ingredients:
- 500g of fresh mutton
- 100g / 1 cup of grated onions
- 1 tbsp of ginger paste
- 1½ tbsp of garlic paste
- 1 tbsp of unripe papaya paste
- 1 tbsp of red chili powder
- 1 tsp of turmeric powder
- ½ cup of mustard oil
- ¼ tsp of garam masala
- Salt to taste
Procedure:
- Wash the mutton properly and then put them in a bowl.
- Add ¼ tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tbsp of unripe papaya paste, salt to taste, 2 tbsp of mustard oil, 1 tsp of red chili powder to the mutton.(Leave it for 1 hr or more to marinate)
- In a frying pan, add rest of the mustard oil and heat the pan for 2-3 mins. After 2-3 mins, add the grated onions in oil for 15 mins by altering the flame.
- After you have fried the grated onions, add ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder and turmeric powder to the pan and fry them for 5-7 mins, until you smell some good scent from the pan.
- Then add the mutton to the frying pan and cook it for 30 mins.
- After cooking the mutton for 30 mins, add 1 cup of water to the pan and boil it for 15 mins over SIM flame until it is cooked.(You can also boil the mutton in a pressure cooker with same amount of water, it will get boiled in just 5 mins)
- Add garam masala powder to the mutton kasa at last to complete this recipe.
