Curd Fish Ball


This is the recipe for making curd fish ball, and it is similar to the fish ball recipe which I have given at first.

Which fishes can be used to make these fish balls?

  • Barramundi(Vetki) fish is the best choice for this recipe.
  • Rohu(Rui) Fish can also be taken as second choice if the first one is not available.
  • Catla Fish can also be taken.

Ingredients:

Fish Ball ingredients:

  1. 200g of fish(Vetki or Rui or Catla, whichever fish is available)
  2. 200g of potato
  3. 1 cup of finely grated onion
  4. 1 cup of refined oil
  5. 1 tbsp of ginger paste
  6. 1 tbsp of garlic paste
  7. 2 tbsp of green chili paste
  8. 1 tsp of black pepper powder
  9. 1 tsp of garam masala powder
  10. 2 tbsp of bread crumbs
  11. 1 tbsp of cornflour
  12. 1 egg
  13. Salt to taste

Curd Curry ingredients:

  1. 1 cup of curd
  2. 1 tbsp of grated onions
  3. 1 tsp of garlic paste
  4. 1 tsp of ginger paste
  5. 1 tsp of sugar
  6. 1/2 tsp of flour(maida)
  7. 1 tsp of red chili powder
  8. 2 tbsp of soya bean oil
  9. 2 bay leaves(tej patta)
  10. 4 to 5 green chilis
  11. salt to taste

Procedure:

Fish ball procedure:

  • Peel the potato skins and boil the potatoes in pressure cooker for 5-7 minutes
  • Boil the fish in an pan with some salt for 5-7 minutes
  • Mash the potatoes properly in a bowl
  • Remove the bones of the fishes if it got any, and in a bowl mix the boneless fish with the mashed potato
  • Add grated onion, ginger paste, garlic paste, green chili paste, black pepper powder, garam masla powder, salt to taste to the bowl and mix it well to make the stuffing
  • In a frying pan add 2 tbsp of oil, heat the oil for 2-3 mins, add the stuffing to the pan and fry it until a good smell is released.
  • Now put this fried stuffing in another bowl and let it cool down
  • After cooling the stuffing down, add egg, bread crumbs, cornflour and mix the stuffing properly
  • Now make some balls from these stuffing(If you make the balls small you can make up to 30 balls and if you make the balls medium sized you can make up to 20 balls)
  • Then let the fish balls dry for 1 hr
  • Now heat rest of the oil left in a pan, and put the burner to SIM, and fry the fish balls
  • Serve hot with salad and sauce

Curd Curry procedure:

  • Pour curd in bowl, add grated onion, ginger paste, red chili powder, maida, salt to taste, garlic paste, sugar mix this mixture properly to make a batter
  • Take a frying pan, add oil in the frying pan and heat the oil for sometime
  • Add torn green chili, tej patta to the oil in frying pan
  • Now add the batter in the frying pan and heat for 5 to 7 min
  • Now pour this curd curry in different bowl
Now to make this recipe complete add the fish balls after they have cooled down to the curd curry and then it is ready to be served
